Come back after you upgrade to latest version of Firefox
The original version of the Phi Gamma Delta website was launched in October of 2007, however, the chapter decided they wanted to change web hosting companies in order to cut costs. The website was cluttered with features and pages that were unnecessary and rarely updated so the server transition made for a perfect time for a redesign.
I streamlined the interface by cleaning up the navigation, consolidating the text and eliminating several of the unnecessary pages. I also placed a large Flash slideshow on the homepage that rotates through 8 high quality photos with a short animation at the end.
I used gradients of tints of black contrasted by gold accents that match the warmth of the photos in the slideshow. The logo at the top was redesigned with the script typeface overlaying the sans-serif to convey a "Formal, but here to party" message. Overall, the website is much cleaner and easier to use.
